Samantha Salter joined Piel Law Firm as a Law Clerk in September 2025 and became an Associate Attorney upon her admission to the Maryland Bar in November 2025.  Samantha represents banks and other financial institutions across the full spectrum of creditors’ rights and enforcement matters. She routinely handles foreclosure proceedings, loan workouts, and post-default remedies, and works closely with clients to develop and execute strategies to maximize recovery and protect collateral positions. In addition, Samantha represents institutional clients in complex commercial litigation, bringing a strategic and detail-oriented approach to resolving disputes efficiently and effectively. She also advises the firm’s real estate clients in connection with litigation strategy and dispute resolution.

 

Samantha earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland, College Park, where she majored in Government and Politics and minored in Professional Writing. She received her Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law, graduating cum laude, and was inducted as a Distinguished Scholar into the Royal Graham Shannonhouse III Honor Society. While in law school, Samantha worked in the Veterans Advocacy Clinic, where she assisted veterans in obtaining disability benefits and other related relief.
